Erin Clabough is an associate professor of psychology.
She is a neuroscientist trained as a molecular biologist. She received her BA in Psychology, holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the UVA Medical School, and she completed a postdoc in Neuroscience/Biomedical Engineering at UVA.
She teaches about the neural basis of behavior, as well as the nature of consciousness and empathy, using experiential learning as the primary mode of teaching. Her research interests include neurodevelopment, neurodegeneration, synaptic plasticity, and the development of knowledge models that better engage learners, support neural literacy, and enhance well-being.
