Dr. Rieser founded MITRE’s Special Cyber & AI Learning Enterprise (SCALE) Lab, focusing on trusted edge computing. Previously, she led the MITRE@UVA Health Learning Lab, and has enjoyed exploring emerging medical technologies for decision support for over a decade on university grounds. Her research interests include national security, public sector needs, and cognitive edge sensing analytics. With over 20 years of experience, she has managed high-impact projects, built interdisciplinary teams, and authored internationally recognized standards and publications. Dr. Rieser is also an alum of the Virginia Tech University Board of Visitors and was a National Science Foundation Fellow.
