Chloe Wang is a rising third-year student studying Data Science and Computer Science and has been involved with the NeuroBioInformatics Lab (NBIL) since Fall 2024.
Her research focuses on applying data science methods to gather insights on atypical brain development and screen time usage through analysis of genomic data. This summer (2026), she will be working with TYDE Faculty Affiliate Dr. Aiying Zhang to examine adolescent mental health and brain development in relation to media use, using data from the Human Connectome Project.
Beyond her research, Chloe enjoys facilitating community-building events for the Chinese Student Association (CSA) at UVA and supporting incoming and transfer students in her role as a mentor for the Peer Advising Family Network (PAFN).
