Thriving Youth in a Digital Environment and the Society of Digital Mental Health have partnered to create the Digital Health Industry Internship Program, a paid summer internship program that provides graduate students from across the United States with experiential learning opportunities in the field of digital mental health.
These opportunities will enrich the field by exposing students to the industry world and expanding the range of expertise available to our industry partners.
These internships are available to graduate students from any university in the U.S.
If you are a UVA student, your experience will be managed by the PhD+ program.
Please note that an internship position may have an impact on summer research funding provided by your university. Please verify this with your Director of Graduate Study.

To provide flexibility and help students find an internship that fits their needs, positions vary in terms of time commitment, location, and intern responsibilities. Hosts will work directly with students to develop an arrangement that works for both parties.
Click “Apply Here” to access the application form. Students will apply for one opportunity at a time by resubmitting additional applications. Application deadlines are specific for each opportunity.
Students will need to submit a signed letter of authorization from their primary advisor, clinical director, or director of graduate studies. The letter should confirm that the student is approved to complete an internship in the summer of 2025. The letter should be in PDF format and on official letterhead. TYDE has created a template letter to facilitate this step.
Submissions will be routed to the internship host, who will review applications and interview selected applicants.

Internship hosts will contact applicants who advance to the interview stage within four weeks of the deadline. Additionally, non-selected applicants will be contacted by the internship host.
