Project Unloaded works to prevent gun violence in all its forms by educating, engaging, and empowering teens through cultural campaigns and community partnerships that share a simple message: guns make us less safe.
In collaboration with Youth-Nex and UVA’s Gun Violence Solutions Project (GVSP), TYDE will cosponsor the following events on November 6, 2025.
- 12:30-2 PM: A Panel Discussion on “Teens & Guns: Issues & Solutions for Youth Gun Violence Prevention” in Bavaro Hall, Holloway Hall on UVA Grounds. Community members or any non-UVA employees can register for free parking in this form. There will also be a livestream for available for designated remote employees or future virtual options, and details are available through this interest form.
- 6:30-8 PM: Teen workshop on “Social Media for Safer Communities” at the UVA Center for Community Partnerships (201 W. Main Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902). Pizza will be provided. Teens should email Youth-Nex@virginia.edu to RSVP for more information!
