Fatima Nayani M.S. is the Events and Digital Coordinator for TYDE.
Fatima has two degrees in psychology research, demonstrating her commitment to both her field of study and to higher education as a whole. She is an advocate for mental health awareness, particularly in underserved communities.
Before joining TYDE, Fatima was the lead Clinical Research Coordinator for the UVA Center for Psychiatric Clinical Research within the UVA School of Medicine. In this role, she managed all aspects of multiple phase II and phase III trials investigating novel treatments for various psychiatric conditions. Notably, Fatima was responsible for facilitating two clinicals trials using psychedelics as experimental treatments for postpartum depression in new mothers and for adjustment disorder in those experiencing major medical illnesses (for example cancer, ALS, and Parkinson’s disease).
Further in her career, Fatima hopes to make a difference in increasing accessibility to culturally competent mental healthcare for marginalized groups on an international stage.
