Philip Chow, PhD, earned a BA in Psychology from Cornell University. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Clinical and Community Psychology. He completed his predoctoral internship at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. He was a postdoctoral research associate in the Psychology Department at UVA. Dr. Chow joined UVA’s Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences in 2007.
Dr. Chow specializes in using mobile technology to monitor and alleviate psychological distress. He is particularly interested in how mobile technology can be used to assist cancer patients and their loved ones.
