Gil Somers is a member of the graduating class of 2025.
Gil was an inaugural member of the TYDE research team starting in summer 2024. During TYDE’s Youth Summer Internship, in partnership with Light House Studio, he organized and led a group of consultant-mentors who provided guidance and resources on digital technology and mental health to high school participants.
Additionally he served as TYDE’s research lead, contributing educational content for its first Youth Hackathon, as well as authoring multiple blog posts that provide resources and insight related to youth digital mental health for the TYDE website.
In addition to helping TYDE, Gil served as a member of PACT Lab and participated in multiple research projects that focused on fostering access to care for Spanish-speaking communities and the destigmatization of mental health. He is currently pursuing a Master’s of Social Work.
