The landscape for LGBTQ+ youth support is shifting. What do those who work with queer teens need to know?
On March 13th, 2026, UVA’s Thriving Youth in a Digital Environment hosted a timely panel discussion on the evolving policy and funding landscape affecting work with LGBTQ+ youth.
Continuing conversations we started at the “Digital Mental Health & LGBTQ+ Youth” Summit at Santa Clara University in September 2025, this panel featured experts from research, mental health, and nonprofit leadership who discussed emerging challenges and shared insights on sustaining support for young people.
